Zakri Bin Mohammad Khir 

Chairman of Yayasan Chow Kit

Zakri has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Allianz Malaysia Berhad (“Company”) in 2000 as the Head of Industrial Business and was subsequently appointed as the Head of Technical Division in 2004. He was the Head of Operations Division of Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (“Allianz General”) before he assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Allianz General in December 2010 and CEO of the Company on 3 September 2014. He was also the Executive Director of Allianz General from 3 September 2014 to 31 December 2021. He retired as the CEO of Allianz General on 30 June 2021 and CEO of the Company on 31 December 2021. Prior to his employment with the Company and its subsidiaries, he was the General Manager of The American Malaysian Insurance Berhad. He is currently on the board of Allianz Malaysia Bhd.

Tunku Zain al-Abidin

Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin is the Founding President of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs; a Trustee of Yayasan Chow Kit, Yayasan Munarah, the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation and the Genovasi Foundation; an Independent Non-Executive Director of Allianz Malaysia Berhad and Kian Joo Can Factory Berhad; an advisor or patron to numerous educational and musical organisations; a committee member of several societies; a columnist in three newspapers and a Royal Fellow of the National University of Malaysia.

Marlene Kaur

Marlene Kaur is currently the Director of Corporate Affairs at alrajhi bank Malaysia with more than 20-years of expertise in corporate affairs– in internal and external communications, public affairs, corporate responsibility including sustainability and marketing. She has worked in Hong Kong in a regional role, in Switzerland in a global role and she continues to bring in valuable knowledge and expertise in the areas of communication, regulatory, fiscal and public affairs. She returned to Malaysia in 2005 to run Corporate Affairs for Philip Morris International in Malaysia.

Datin Shirieene Hajamaideen

Datin Shirieene Binti Hajamaideen is a well-known businesswoman who headed Maizen Maison, a multi-brand boutique established for more than a decade alongside Rekha Sen. She is also a firm believer and advocate of traditional Ayurveda medicine and practices. She works closely with her mother in-law at the non-profit organization, ‘The Ayur Centre. This full-time mom also organizes parenting courses and workshops for certified parent educator Kim Demarchi. Datin Shirieene had received her education, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences at City University of London, United Kingdom.

Prof. Dr Melati Nungsari

Prof. Dr Melati Nungsari is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Asia School of Business in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a partnership between the Malaysian Central Bank and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. She also holds an appointment at MIT Sloan as a Research Affiliate. Dr Melati is an applied microeconomist with expertise in industrial organization, market design, labor economics, and public policy. She has studied two-sided matching platforms, retirement markets, pedagogical innovations in economic education, entrepreneurship, and labor informality within vulnerable groups in Southeast Asia.
