YAYASAN CHOW KIT
We are a Kuala Lumpur-based organisation providing care, protection and learning support for at-risk children from diverse communities, through personalised interventions that address their education, wellbeing, documentation and long-term development needs, ensuring each child receives holistic and coordinated support to build a better future.
Yayasan Chow Kit is a non-profit organisation that caters to the needs of children and teenagers in and around Chow Kit. We currently run two drop-in centres within Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship.
Yayasan Chow Kit’s One-Stop Children’s Centre (OSCC) provides a safe, child-friendly space where vulnerable children and adolescents can access holistic care under one roof. The Centre offers integrated services including protection and case management, psychosocial support, education assistance, health and medical referrals, and family strengthening interventions. Guided by a strong child rights and protection framework, the OSCC works closely with families, communities, and government agencies to ensure each child receives timely, coordinated, and compassionate support—so they can heal, thrive, and reach their full potential.
We protect the rights of all at-risk children and youth, provide them with safe havens, and expose them to as many positive and holistic opportunities as possible to enable them to reach their full potential.
We uphold respect for children’s rights and recognize that all children are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
We believe in developing good moral values that help build character, a sense of responsibility and good discipline.
We will maintain inter-agency commitment, cooperation and partnerships with other organisations that share common values and objectives.
We are accountable for the implementation and outcomes of our organisation’s stated and expected goals.
